Tiny Tina’s Chaos Chamber: Monsters and Loot
Welcome to another guide to lead you through the journey of Tiny Tina’s Chaos Chamber! Previously, we went over the Character Class cards and Suit cards. In this guide we’ll be going over the Monster and Loot cards! These go together as when you defeat a Monster, you get to draw a Loot card.
For Monster and Loot cards, there are 6 Legendary, 8 Epic, and 9 Rare of each. When a monster is killed, the player who killed that monster gets to draw a card from the Loot pile corresponding to the rarity of monster killed. So, killing a Rare Monster earns you Rare Loot and so on.
Monsters
When the game starts, one monster will be revealed for Balanced difficulty, or two monsters for Intense difficulty. You might find yourself battling a rare minion like a Seawarg or Shrooms. Perhaps it’ll be an epic Badass monster like LeChance or a Wyvern. You could even fight a Legendary Boss like Ribula or Wastard!

Loot
Of course, you’ll also want to know about what awesome loot you can earn! Each Loot has a unique ability that can be used once and help you out in winning tricks. As an example, Rare Loot like the Love Leopard will allow you to “take 1 card from the top of the deck and add it face down to this trick” giving you more points to be the highest rank and kill those monsters! You might use the Epic Steel Gauntlets to block 4 damage and keep yourself in healthy fighting condition.
As one would expect, the Legendary loot cards have more powerful abilities than the other two. You might pull the Frenzied Wrath which allows you to “Exhaust this card when a spell card leads the trick; assign that card as damage to a Monster. If this deals lethal Damage to the Monster, kill it and draw its Loot card.” Pretty great to kill a monster without winning a trick!

Victory Points
The last thing to note on the Loot Cards is that at the bottom, they have a point value at the bottom. These are the Victory Points used as the win condition for the game. Rare loot cards are worth 5 points, Epic loot worth 10, and Legendary loot worth 15.
Your adventure in the Chaos Chamber comes to an end when someone in your party collects loot totaling the required Victory Points or once the monster deck runs out. The person who scored the most points reigns supreme as Bunkers and Baddasses royalty. While everyone else… not so much but hey at least you scored some loot (hopefully).

First released in 2012, there’s now been more than a decade’s worth of Legendary®. Award-winning game designer Devin Low infused the game and its core system with strategy, depth, fun, and a multiverse worth of replayability. And fans can rest assured; Devin has returned as the game designer of Legendary® DC. It will be familiar to gamers who have played previous Legendary® games, with new and fresh ideas to bring the DC Universe to the ecosystem. Legendary® DC is perfect for established and new players alike; returning gamers will recognize similarities between DC and previous versions, while first-time players will be able to jump right in this Legendary® DC 500 card set.
So what’s allowed Legendary® to excel as an evergreen deck builder for more than a decade? It’s highly accessible, taking very few games to learn while still remaining a satisfying challenge for experienced players. That flexibility is another known and loved strength – the game works as a solo experience or accommodates up to five players, while also offering competitive elements within its cooperative core. Legendary® also continues to be among the most modular deckbuilding game systems available. Players can choose which Heroes battle which Villains, modifying the core build of every game and making the experience and challenge level extremely customizable while also maximizing replayability.

Now let’s take a sneak peek at some of the ways Legendary® will be adapted to the DC universe. One thing that previous players will recognize – the transform mechanic. Plenty of DC Super Heroes have secret identities, which will fit perfectly into that existing structure. Cards featuring the Transform keyword start out as secret identities such as Bruce Wayne
or Clark Kent
, but then players have the chance for these cards to reveal their heroic identities as Batman
and Superman
.
There are also heroes like Batman
who thrive on the fear he instills, and on the other side is someone like Superman
who represents the hope he inspires in others. They have the same goal, but go about it in different ways, which means players can expect a unique challenge to get those two to work together in the same deck. This also shows itself throughout the game with the hope and fear tracker. Most heroes push the track up towards hope, while villains push it down towards fear. All of this and much more sets the stage for fun and engaging gameplay.

Why was the set made? Why is it relevant today?
This set was created to pay homage to the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands videogame. With the release of Gearbox’s Borderlands 4 this month, we hope fans will be excited for this set as it’s within the Borderlands world. These trading cards should build excitement for the upcoming release of Borderlands Legacy Collection trading card set.
How did you bring in the element of chaos to this set of cards?
All internal UD departments worked together to bring in fun elements of chaos that themes along with the game’s humor, quirkiness, & visuals. Our Type team (Izak Weintraub & Thomas Kitchell) took inspiration from the voice lines in-game and gave the card bios a fun twist of humor and playfulness. Graphic
designers (Krista Timberlake) created unique designs that complemented the chaotic foils picked by our Product Development team (Bubby Johanson & Ryan Carroll). As for me, for the characters we did not have assets for already, my main focus was taking screen captures of characters with dynamic poses and varying backgrounds. That plus the wide variety of characters added to the whole chaotic theme of this project.

How did you decide on what characters would be a part of the set?
The character list was based on main characters and character types in-game. I wanted to make sure all character types would be represented in the set – especially the Base Set. Here’s a simplified breakdown of the types of characters in this set: Main/Iconic Characters, Zombies, Skeletons, Shrooms, Goblins, Trolls, Crabs, Pirates, Seawargs, Coiled, Wyvern, Cyclops, & Main Bosses.
What was the inspiration behind the Character Sheets, Warsmith Rip Cards, and Bunker Masters inserts? Why were they chosen to be rare?
- – Character Sheets
- – Character sheets appear in cut scenes in the TTW videogame for important characters. It’s a fun idea to pull from the game and turn it into a physical card collectors can get their hands on. The way these cards are built are similar to shadow boxes, with multiple layers of designs on a clear PETG card to create one extra special card.
- – Warsmith Rip Cards
- – Throughout the game, there are weapon vending machines that allow players to purchase various weapons and different rarity levels. This is a huge part of the gameplay for TTW as it is considered a “loot and shoot” game. The Borderlands franchise is heavily focused on weapons and loot, which is the main driver for including weapon inserts in this set. The rip cards are especially unique as collectors can physically rip open a vending machine card to pull mini-card weapons.
- – Bunker Masters
- – The design for this insert is the most colorful and vibrant in the set. Pink and green designs with Raised Spot UV make these cards feel and look extra special. This 20-card set also only features main characters, adding to the value of these rare cards.
What was the inspiration for the Loot cards with scratch offs?
The Loot Cards are an extra special card we were able to create thanks to our contacts over at Gearbox/2K. They were able to give us a select amount of SHiFT codes which allow players to redeem a Skeleton Key in-game to get special Loot (weapons, shields, or grenades).
What’s your favorite card and why?
My favorite cards would have to be Tiny Tina in the Bunker Masters Set, or the rip cards. The Bunker Masters Set utilizes colorful designs and Raised Spot UV to give the cards a nice texture and clean finished look.
What sets the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands pack apart?
The designs are unlike any set we’ve done in the past. As mentioned earlier, the game is chaotic, colorful, and full of vibrant personalities. We played off of the game’s uniqueness which translates into the trading cards set.
Is there any cool technology that collectors should know about?
My personal favorite tech you can find in this set are: Raised Spot UV, rip cards with mini weapons inside, shadow box cards, and wood cards (e-pack only). Also, honorable mention to our MetalX cards which have extra shine to them, our manufactured memorabilia cards, and the scratch off loot cards!
