Marvel fans, the wait is over. In 2026, Upper Deck is redefining the multiverse once again with the release of Legendary®: A Marvel Deck Building Game Second Edition! This isn’t just a reprint of the 2013 Legendary®: A Marvel Deck Building Game Core Set. Legendary®: Second Edition is a complete evolution of the game that started it all, reimaged to meet the complexity and excitement of the succeeding Legendary® expansions. Almost every card from the Legendary®: A Marvel Deck Building Game Core Set has been meticulously redesigned. Whether it’s balancing power levels or refining hero classes, the Legendary®: Second Edition ensures a seamless experience for veterans and new recruits alike. Stunning All New Original Artwork

Every single card features brand-new, original artwork that now extends beyond the borders for a more immersive, modern aesthetic. From the heroes in your deck to the Masterminds in the city, the Marvel Universe has never looked more vibrant. Second Edition also features even more artwork! Each Hero’s 4 different cards now use 4 different art pieces, uniquely created for Legendary®. This is an upgrade from the First Edition, using the same art for all 4 cards. This set features an all-star roster of artists including: Andrea Adiletto, Don Aguillo, Tazio Bettin, Lip Wei Chang, Lorenzo Di Santo, Nahuel Lopez, André Meister, Johnny Morrow, Lorenza Pigliamosche, Simone Ragazzoni, Riccardo Robaldo, and Ryan Smallman.

There are now 550 playable cards in this set compared to 500. About 250 cards have been redeveloped to be more flavorful, fun, and balanced. Legendary®: Second Edition introduces Doctor Octopus as a new playable Mastermind and Sinister Syndicate as a new Villain Group. A Marvel fan favorite Spider-Man (Miles Morales), is now a playable Hero in the core set, taking Deadpool’s spot. You can still find Deadpool in the Legendary®: Deadpool set. 10 S.H.I.E.L.D. Officer Specialists are now mixed in with the normal Officers. Daring Sidekicks and Special Bystanders are now in this core set. There are 42 total Bystanders instead of the 30 in the 2013 Legendary®: A Marvel Deck Building Game Core Set.

Balancing the Meta and Increasing Difficulty

Core Set Masterminds are now double-sided with normal and extra-challenging sides. For those who find the standard villains too easy, Second Edition introduces Epic Masterminds. Core Set Masterminds are now significantly more challenging than the First Edition. These updated Masterminds have additional abilities to make each Mastermind more flavorful and dangerous than ever before. Additionally, the original 8 Schemes have been rebalanced to be more challenging along with an additional all-new 9th Scheme.

In Legendary®: Second Edition, 4-5 player games will now use a “Warmup Round” to reduce the likelihood of early Villain escapes. Additionally, there is now a “Starting HQ Mulligan” if at least 2 cards in the starting HQ cost 7 or more, then all players can agree to “mulligan” those HQ spaces. There are updated quantities of card stacks to use for each number of players, to give games with a larger number of players more time to win. For fans of Solo Mode, Second Edition no longer plays an extra card from the Villain Deck after each Master Strike. In solo, 2 Henchmen start the game already in the city. The solo mode Villain Deck now gives about 4 extra turns before running out.

Experience better-balanced gameplay with adjustments to iconic heroes. For example, Spider-Man along with the other cards in this set now feel more consistent and balanced with the rest of the cards in Legendary’s thirteen-year history while still adhering to their unique play styles.

UPPER DECK HIGHLIGHTS GOLF TRADING CARDS AND CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF HISTORY

Carlsbad, CA (Feb. 5, 2026) – Upper Deck, the worldwide leader in sports and entertainment collectibles, is continuing a 25-year tradition of setting the standard with industry-leading golf collectibles with a 2026 lineup that highlights a diverse style of trading cards, applying a variety of their historic brands and featuring leaders in the sport of golf. 

To mark the 25th Anniversary of Upper Deck Golf, this year’s set pays homage to its very first release in 2001, which featured a star-studded checklist headlined by Upper Deck Exclusive Spokesperson Tiger Woods and his rookie card. 2026 Upper Deck Golf will again be headlined by Spokesperson Tiger Woods, with a unique buyback program. There will be 25 Tiger Woods rookie cards that are signed, numbered, and stamped with a commemorative 25th Anniversary stamp. There will also be 25 sets each of the ‘Tiger’s Tales’ insert and the entire 200-card base set that are numbered to 25 and stamped with the 25th Anniversary stamp. 

“This year’s Upper Deck Golf is a celebration of 25 years of premium golf products and our long-standing relationship with one of the greatest players to ever pick up a golf club,” said Paul Zickler, Upper Deck Director of Sports Brands. “Golf is hugely important to us at Upper Deck. With our headquarters in the middle of a major golf hub in Carlsbad, California, we’re inspired and passionate about continuing to innovate and produce premium golf collectibles.” 

Upper Deck Golf will feature flagship and fan-favorite inserts and players. Headlining this year’s featured rookie class are world number two, two-time major champion, and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, Masters winner Hideki Matsuyama, LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko, top ranked amateur Jackson Koivun and top ranked junior Miles Russell. They will all have Young Guns cards, including outburst parallels with gold 1-of-1’s. Another insert, Retrospective Rookies, features top golfers who haven’t had a Young Guns card in the past, including Tiger Woods, Collin Morikawa, Jim Furyk, Annika Sorenstam, Michelle Wie West, and Lexi Thompson. Each player’s card design reflects the Young Guns design from their debut year. Collectors will also recognize familiar Upper Deck inserts including Dazzlers and UD Canvas. 

2026 Upper Deck Golf releases on February 18, 2026, at Certified Diamond dealers worldwide as well as mass retailers. Upper Deck will continue a consistent calendar of golf trading card sets throughout the year. Here’s a sneak peak of what collectors can expect to see through the end of 2026:
